Partial Updos
If you don't like the idea of having all of your hair pulled up in a formal updo hair style, you always have the option to do a partial updo hair style.
Various options are available for the half up /half down hair style look. Addition of clip in hair extension pieces will add a little more flare to your hair style look as well. Some of the partial updos on this page have a little back-combing in the crown area to give the appearance of height.
This style looks amazing for prom. Create height in the crown area by gently back combing small sections of hair. Smooth over the top with your fingers and leave a few wispy strands out in front to softly frame the face.
For a different look, apply all over curls before pulling back the hair in the crown area.
